Anamaria Bejar

Director, Public Policy Engagement

Anamaria is Director of Public Policy Engagement at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance where she leads the Secretariat on increasing political will for immunization by driving advocacy for vaccine equity in Gavi-implementing countries, regions and global health fora.

Prior to joining Gavi, Anamaria worked at the International Planned Parenthood Federation Secretariat in London as Global Director of Advocacy. She also spent over 11 years working with the International HIV/AIDS Alliance as Associate Director of Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to that Anamaria worked for Save the Children UK as Cuba Country Director and in Cusco-Peru on primary health care with indigenous women on maternal and child health at the Peruvian Ministry of Health.

She has been part of the Technical Review Panel of the Global Fund against Malaria, TB and HIV as expert on Gender, human rights and community engagement.

Anamaria is a social anthropologist with an MSc in Health Policy Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
