Adanna Chukwuma (she/her) is a Senior Director at Visa, where she drives alignment between digital payment growth and social impact, using data science and strategy, and facilitates investments at the intersection of health care and the digital economy. Prior to this, she was a senior economist at the World Bank Group, where she advised senior policymakers, including deputy prime ministers, ministers of health, and ministers of finance, and built cross-sectoral partnerships to drive social reforms. Adanna obtained a Doctor of Medicine from University of Nigeria, a Master of Science from University of Oxford, and a Doctor of Science from Harvard University.
This conversation will outline the urgency of centering gender equity in the world's response to emerging health threats, and – drawing on rich experiences and insight – what it will take to incite collective action to finally elevate women leaders for the benefit of all humanity.
