Senior Health Information Systems Advisor, USAID

Joy Kamunyori, MCS, PMP, is a digital health and project management professional with over 15 years’ experience in global digital health implementation. Joy is currently a contractor with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) where she serves as a Senior Health Information Systems Advisor within the Office of HIV/AIDS (Bureau for Global Health). Prior to joining USAID, Joy worked for John Snow, Inc. (JSI) as a Program Director, Center for Digital Health, and for ICF as a Senior Health Informatics Advisor, providing technical and managerial leadership in digital health. Joy holds a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, NY), and a Master of Computer Science from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA). She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is TOGAF 9 Certified. Outside work, Joy is an avid runner, having run 9 marathons. She also enjoys yoga, hiking, biking, and reading.
