I am the Executive Director for Reproductive Health Network Kenya, network of providers ensuring provision of comprehensive reproductive health information and services. I am a trained Nurse/Midwife, Health Systems and Policy Expert, a Global Award winning SRH Champion, an advocate for human rights and an alumni of the inaugural East African Women Leadership Journey. I have engaged at national, regional and international forums, that advocate for policy change and gender equality in provision of SRHR. I received the 2020 Planned Parenthood Global Citizen Award in recognition for my outstanding leadership. I serve as the Kenya Self Injectable Ambassador of The Injectable Access Initiative, Family Planning Advisor of the Regional Director - Women Lift Health, Co-Chair of the Board of Directors, Africa Action Network for Nurses/Midwives, Board member at ICRHK, Steering Committee member at the Accountability Platform of the United Nations Foundation and Kenya National Selfcare Network Lead.

For gender transformative leadership by health leaders to be realized, all leaders in health must be intentional in nurturing diverse leadership and promoting gender transformative policies as a basis to strengthen the health system. This session seeks to highlight the significant contribution of mid-level providers, particularly women, in health systems. The session will also provide insights into the challenges faced by women mid-level providers in attaining leadership roles in the health sector.
